Biological Sciences Advising Center

The Biological Sciences Advising Center (BSAC) provides comprehensive advising services for students. It is our objective to optimize students' success and assist them in reaching their academic, professional, and personal goals by providing quality guidance for degree planning and by serving as a referral resource for career and student life concerns.

Advisors are available year-round. Students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment in advance and come in early to avoid the registration rush!

The Biological Sciences Advising Center advises students who have successfully completed the introductory biology sequence. First year biology majors and all Marine and Freshwater biology majors are advised in the First-Year Advising Center. Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Biology: Teaching Option are advised by the UTeach advisor. Questions about meeting medical or other health profession school requirements should be directed to the Health Professions Office. Non-biology majors should direct course enrollment questions to the SBS Instructional Office in NHB 2.606. We are happy to help students with questions about UT biology course prerequisites.

Be Wise, Be Advised!
