The Graduate Program in Microbiology guarantees financial support to all Ph.D. students maintaining satisfactory academic progress. Support includes a competitive stipend, tuition remission, and medical benefits. Support for students in the Microbiology Program comes from a combination of research assistantships, teaching appointments, University Fellowships and Microbiology Endowments.
First year graduate students enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Microbiology will receive an annual stipend of $24,000 during the 2008-2009 academic year. Tuition and fees and health insurance will also be covered.
