Dmitriy is a second year PhD student in the Cellular & Molecular Biology graduate program and splits his time between the Hawkes and Juenger labs. In his first year, Dmitriy has been working on understanding the relative importance of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and archaea in legacy effects of invasive species on soil nitrogen cycling. He is currently working on how soil microbes affect plant physiology
