Juniperus ashei, Ashe Juniper/Texas Cedar

Cedars in August 06 drought
J. ashei at the peak of the summer 2006 drought. The native grass had burnt to orange,
but there is relatively more green around the large juniper.

Large numbers of junipers, both large and small, are present at Purola Preserve in N. Hays County.
